Guy E. Franks, 66, Glenns Creek Pike resident, Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away at noon Saturday in King's Daughters' Hospital after an illness of one day. Born in Grant County, he was a member of Grassy Springs Baptist Church. For over 40 years he has been a telegraph operator for the L & N Railroad in Lexington. He was a member of Hiram Lodge No. 4, F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cleora (Lee) Franks; two sons, John and Dan Franks, Franklin County; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Tracy, Mrs. Sue Tracey, Mrs. Shirley Jamison, and Miss Jane Franks, all of Franklin County; two brothers, Lyman and John Franks, Lexington; one sister, Mrs. Muccie Preston, Dayton, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in Rogers Chapel at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will follow in the family lot in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The body is at Rogers. Masonic services will be conducted at the graveside by Hiram No. 4, F&AM.
