I have records for Benjamin through his father, Jonas II, that recorded the location and birth date of Benjamin at Knox Co., Maine. The next records (marriage) have been attached to "this" Benjamin by way of a process of elimination of Benj. Dean's that I have been working on in Ohio for over 20 years.
Fairfield Co., directly above Scioto Co., is where the marriage is likely to have occurred on the 14th of June 1819 as recorded in Probate court records, Vol. B, page 171. Benjamin and Ruth are linked and named in two documents, Rufus and Lucy Dean's death certificates that were issued in Scioto county. The death and burial location of Benj. is unknown at this time and my search rages on. Any help or clues would be always greatly appriciated!!!! TJD 2012

This can be confusing and I feel is somehow linked, is the fact that another pioneering/farming family of a Benjamin Dean and a Ruth Barnes, were staking their claim, raising a large family, up in Richland Co. Ohio at the same time. They are my direct relatives. Thanks again for any help! TJD 2012
