Casey Powlett-Jones was a most beloved red and white Cardigan Welsh corgi. He shared his life with Beth and her family which included her mother Helen, sister Myra, a cat Megan Margaret Mulligan and sister's dog the charming Maddie Louise. During his youth, Casey loved to steal laundry of all kinds but ended up specializing in socks. He once grabbed a pin cushion thinking it was a toy and accidently swallowed a needle. After the operation to remove it, the doctor reported that he also had several pieces of a Tupperware bowl in his stomach as well. Casey's food was served on stainless or ceramic from that day on. Casey loved Megan the cat, but Megan being five years his senior and somewhat of a snob when it came to canines, this love remained unrequited. A couple of years down the line he met Maddie, a very sweet poodle-schnauzer mix who would be his best animal friend until his death. Casey died of thyroid cancer in August 1998 at the age of 14. He is still missed but we are certain, he is waiting at the rainbow bridge for those of us who remain.
