Walter, 94, passed away Sept. 9, 2001 in Tacoma, WA. Survived by his wife of 69 years, Erma Dean Blauvelt; daughter Joyce Arnold (Richard) of Tacoma, WA; son Richard Blauvelt (Virginia) of Thorne Bay, Alaska; grandchildren, Douglas, Terry, Shari, Wally, Kathy; and great-grandchild Cheri. Walter retired from the Tacoma News Tribune after 36 years of faithful service. During the war he was a deep sea diver for Civil Service. Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping mink and muskrat. A graveside service for Walter will be on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001 at Mt. View Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584- 0252.
