Mrs. Clara Louise Pendergrass, 73, of Overlook Drive, Wilkesboro, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 after a period of extended illness.
A graveside service will be held Thursday 5:00PM, May 1, 2008 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Windy Gap with the Rev. Rodney Blake presiding.
Clara was born June 18, 1934 in Wilkes County to Boyden and Joyce Felts Oakley.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Irene and brother Ronnie.
Clara is survived by: her husband, Rex Pendergrass of the home; her son, Curtis Pendergrass of Tampa, FL; her daughter, Tonia Wike of Hickory; eight sisters, Sue Kivett of Greensboro, Mable Gregory, Lorene Blake both of North Wilkesboro, Bonnie Billings, Wanda Wilson both of Wilkesboro, Ruby Walker of Alpharetta, GA, Betty Smithey of Moravian Falls, Linda Reeves of Millers Creek; one brother, Bruce Oakley of North Wilkesboro; five grandchildren; Jacob, Tabitha, Justin, Josh, Jeremiah and one great-grandchild.
Friends and family may visit Thursday, 2:30 until 4:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
