Graveside services for Mary Paul Irwin, 94, will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Dr. Terry Greer and the Rev. Charles Boling officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 - 3:45 p.m. prior to the services.
Mrs. Irwin, who died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Decatur Health & Rehab, was born October 28, 1917, in Pettusville to Charles Archie Yarbrough and India Ruth Readus. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur, former school teacher in Limestone County, and enjoyed activities at the Decatur Senior Center. Mrs. Irwin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip A. Irwin; and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her son, Phil Irwin of Decatur; daughter, Pam Gilmer of Trussville; grandchildren, Meg Gilmer-Lockridge, India Irwin, Kathryn Gilmer, and Elizabeth Irwin.
