Daughter of Pellegrino Nizzi and Rose Biondi. Married FNU Coppi, Married Guiseppe "Joseph" Amidei 17 DEC 1908 in Italy.

Maria Nizzi-Coppi-Amidei born in Feb. 23rd, 1872 in Fiumalbo, Modena, Italy. Maria was married to a man with the last name of Coppi and had already been to the US. He was killed in a coalmine accident after living there for 3 years. She returned to Italy where she met and then married Guiseppe he was a widower with 2 children. Maria had several sisters still in Italy. Then Guiseppe and Maria along with Guiseppe's 2 children from his first marriage Caterina and Bartolomeo came to the US in 1909. Maria was 8 months pregnant with Pellegrino "Bill" and the story was that she threw up all the way to America.

FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MRS. MARIA AMIDEI
Funeral services for Mrs. Maria Amidei, 76, who died at 11 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, William Amidei of Macon, will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning, Jan. 11, at the Immaculate Conception Church, conducted by the Rev. P. J. Gilfillan.
The Rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tomorrow evening at the Albert Skinner Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Amidei is survived by her son, William; one step-son, Bartols Amidei; a step-daughter, Mrs. Catherina Soprani; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Bevier, by the side of her husband, Joe Amidei who proceeded her in death in 1939.
