Son of Domonic Amidei and Annunciata "Nancy" Nizzi. Married Teresa Nardini (marriage record gave Gianini) 16 JAN 1898 in Cook County, Illinois.

Joseph J. Amidei Dies Early Today At Bevier Home
Joseph J. Amedei, 80, died at 1:30 a.m. today at his home south of Bevier following a year's illness. Funeral services will he held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bevier, conducted by the Rev. P. J. GilfiIIan. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
Mr. Amedei, a retired coal miner, was born in Italy and came to Bevier in 1928, having made his home there since that time. He was the last of his family.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Elizabeth of the home, Mrs. Amelia Risi and Mrs. Anita Brugioni of Highwood, Ill.; two sons, Marion and Bruno, both of the home and two grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Edwards Funeral Home in Bevier, where the Rosary will be said at 8:13 p.m. Thursday. The body will lie in state at the Funeral Home until the hour of services.
