Ruth I. Nobert of Earlsboro died Friday at a Norman hospital. She was 74.

She was born July 11, 1927, in Aurora, Kan., to Ralph and Gracy (Czapanskiy) Walker.

She married Francis A. Nobert on Sept. 20, 1948, in Greenleaf, Kan. She was a homemaker and had lived in this area since January 1958.

Preceding her in death was her parents and husband, as well as a brother, Weldon, and sister, Emma.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Anita Jo Nobert, McLoud, and Earl and Pam Nobert of Earlsboro; two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara and Norvel Garlington of Maud and Shirley Jarvis of Tecumseh and her companion, DeWayne Coleman; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many cousins, adopted mother Doris Walker of Aurora, Kan; and brother Leland Walker of Aurora, Kan.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

The family has designated the American Cancer Society as appropriate for memorials.
