Mrs. Ballou was born in Halifax County on December 25, 1919, the daughter of Luther Booth and Bertha Davis Booth and was married to William E. Ballou.
She was a member of McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel today, December 7th at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors of Mrs. Ballou include two sons: Eddie Ballou of Winston-Salem, N.C. and William Dwight Ballou of South Boston; one daughter, Faye B. Michaud of Halifax; one sister, Lottie Stanley of Newport News; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association, 404 8th Street, N.E., Suite C, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
