Gorghild "Billie" Abrahamsen, 86, of Stanwood,
Washington, passed away quietly on May 15,2006,
at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Billie was born on December 28, 1919, to Peter
and Berit Erickson, in Milltown, Skagit county,
Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe
in 2001; and six brothers and sisters. She is
survived by a son and his fiancé. She also
leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews,
friends, and loved ones over many years.

Billie worked for several years in the retail store
business, first for Pure Food Market and later
for Viking Village. She also helped out at
Viking Imports for several years.

In 1970, Joe, her son, her sisters and herself
made a trip to Norway and visited the country
of her origin. She was a member of the
Freeborn Church and a lifetime member of the
Fritjov # 17 Sons of Norway Stanwood lodge.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on May
19, 2006, at the Freeborn Lutheran Church.
Burial followed in the Freeborn Lutheran
Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under
the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.

The family requested that Memorials were
made out to the American Diabetes Association.
