Darrell A. Pinky Dague age 63 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Friday afternoon July 152005.0 at his home in Maquoketa Iowa.
Pinky Dague was born on July 7 1942 in Miles Iowa to Ival E. Dague and Helen M. (Weets) Dague. He attended Jackson County country schools and was a 1960 graduate of Sabula High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Shirley Ann Arensdorf on December 18 1982 in Los Angeles California.Prior to the war Pinky worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army he then worked for the Lord Baltimore Press in Clinton Ralston Purina for three years farmed for several years drove a semi-truck for Bullock Feeds and Century Concrete and most recently co-owned and operated Manning Bros. Livestock.Pinky was an active member of the Andrew Saddle Club and had served as its past president. He had a love for horses and loved raising and breeding them. Each day he looked forward to doing something with them. He also enjoyed trail rides and spending time with his family and grandchildren.Darrell A. Pinky Dague is survived by: his wife- Shirley Dague; children- Paul(Anna) Dague of Monticello IA Danny Dague of Maquoketa IA Jerry(Tamera) Dague of Seviersville TN & Kathy(Mrs. John) Yarolem of Monmouth IA; 6 grandchildren- Sabrynn Kyle Justin Elizabeth Will & Cheyanne; 1 sister- Delores Manning of Maquoketa IA; 1 brother- Ival Wayne(Barbara) Dague of Maquoketa IA; & several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents a daughter- Diane 1 brother- Ronald & 1 sister- Ella.A Darrell A. Pinky Dague Memorial Fund has been established.
