Nullan Wallace Burton, 74, of River Road in Nicholasville, the husband of Barbara Burton, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 12, at his home. He was the son of the late Homer and Christine Walker Burton. He retired from the Kentucky National Guard with more than 30 years of service to his state and country. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating.
Additional survivors includes one son, Nullan Wallace and Connie Burton II; two granddaughters, Brittany Wallis and Erin Mackenzie Burton all of Nicholasville; five brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Phyllis Burton, Harold and Amy Burton, Richard and Elizabeth Burton, Sam and Christine Burton, and Mark and Linda Burton; four sisters and their husbands, June and Jimmy Steele, Dorothy and Bill Reed, Brenda and Weller Meyer, Ruth and Ned Slone, and Sylvia House; an uncle, Julian Burton; and numerous other family members.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Land Burton.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Bearers were the Military Honor Guard of H.H.B. 138 FA BDE. Honorary bearers were nieces and nephews. JJ 3/18/04
