Mrs. Elbert W. Bull
Mrs. E. W. Bull, aged seventy, died suddenly at her camp at Summit Lake on Wednesday, July 30th.
Although she had been in failing health for some time she was ill only one day, being stricken with an embolism the day before her death. She had gone to their camp on Tuesday with her husband and daughter, Mildred, to prepare for the Missionary picnic which was to be held there on Thursday when her sudden illness befell here.
Lillian Isabelle Causebrook was born June 27, 1871, the daughter of William and Mary Abrams Causebrook at Lyndonville, Orleans county.
In 1889, she was united in marriage with Elbert W. Bull and for twenty-five years they lived at Portageville, moving about twenty-five years ago to Burlington where they have since resided.
She was a member of the Baptist church and president of the Missionary society and was always active in all the church work.
Surviving , besides her husband, are one son, Leo Bull and two daughters, miss Mildred Bull and Mrs. Andy Hull and six grandchildren all of Burlington. One son, Clifford, died when a small boy.
The funeral was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist church, the rev. D. J. Dunbar officiating, with burial in the Burlington Greene cemetery. The flowers were many and beautiful.
The bearers were Adrian Bolton, William Shillieto, Murry Benjamin, Percy Benjamin, George Scott and David Harrington. Other relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. Ethel Freer, Norman Freer and son, Ronald of Rochester; Mrs. Blanche Joy, Mr. And Mrs. Merton Bealee, Mrs. Alice Thaine and Mr. and Mrs. David Newman Jr. of Orleans county; John Bagney, Milton Gordon and Mrs. Bertha Frost of Webster; and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wright and two daughters of Cortland.
Mrs. Bull had made many friends in this community whose sympathy goes out to the family in their bereavement.
