Born in Clinton Township, April 12, 1916, she was the daughter of James and Mary Ann Love Walker.
She was a homemaker and had been a receptionist at Butler YWCA.
Mrs. Kintz was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Ruth Audrey) Duffy of Oviedo, Fla., and Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Montgomery of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren, Robert Duffy and his wife, Bernice, of Brunswick, Ohio, Deborah and her husband, Kenneth Daywalt, of Bristolville, Ohio, Jennifer and her husband, Brian Borawiec, of Warren, Ohio, Heather and her husband, Richard Runtas, of Slippery Rock and Sean Montgomery and his companion, Jennifer Detwiler, of Harrisville; and nine great-grandchildren, Jason Duffy of Akron, Ohio, Matthew Duffy and his wife, Samantha, of Huntersville, N.C., Daniel, Hugh and Denise Daywalt, all of Bristolville, Brian and Justin Borawiec, both of Warren, Ohio, Ryan Montgomery of Harrisville and Austin Richard Kuntas of Slippery Rock; and a great-great-grandchild, Alexa Duffy of Huntersville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Her husband, James J. Kintz, died Nov. 16, 1986. She also was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
KINTZ - Friends of Ruth E. Kintz, who died Saturday, Nov 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with her church pastor, the Rev. Merry Meloy, officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
