He was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Chattanooga, Okla., to Ben and Ruth Floyd.
He attended Shawnee Schools and worked for Parker Drilling Company in South America and Africa.
Floyd married Helen Lee on Nov. 2, 1942, in Shawnee.
He served in the U.S. Army Infantry in World War II and was a Prisoner of War on Germany.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Helen of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Jr. and Doris Floyd and Bruce and Karen Floyd, all of Yukon; a brother, Bill Floyd of Perry; four grandchildren two great-grandchildren; and three brothers-in-law.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Dr. Bob Birdwell. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
