Arthur "Tudy" D. Arellano, 68, a lifelong resident of Grant County entered eternal rest Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Fort Bayard Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1944 in Santa Rita to Pete V. and Irene D. Arellano. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved action movies. He was a 49ers fan and L.A. Lakers. A gun enthusiast. He loved sharing stories. He especially loved the outdoors during piñon season. He is survived by his loving wife, Della D. Arellano of the family home; two daughters, Michelle D. Arellano and companion Michael Estrada of Silver City; Alma D. Arellano and companion Michael Hernandez of Silver City; three grandchildren, Krystal Nichole Estrada, Hyrum and Janelle P. Gandara all of Silver City; one brother, Johnny D. Arellano and wife Nerrie of Silver City; one niece, Irene Arellano; sister-in-law, Sally Leyba and husband Ray; brother-in-law, Antonio Dominguez; brother-in-law, Luis Dominguez and wife Molly; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene D. Arellano; two uncles, John and Martin Arellano. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10th from 3-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the funeral service to follow at 6pm with Bishop Jeremy Lewis officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Arellano, Matthew Molano, Hyrum Gandara Jr., Nicholas Gomez, Jerry DeLuna and Andrew Sosaya. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. His ashes will be laid to rest beside his mother Irene D. Arellano at Memory Lane cemetery dedication will be led by Bishop Jeremy Lewis.
