Mrs. E. E. Kendig Dies

Mrs. Elmer E. Kendig, who formerly lived at 808 Merchant St., died Friday evening at the Masonic Home, Wichita, where she and Mr. Kendig had lived the past nine months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett chapel with burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family requests no flowers be sent.

Stella Troast, the daughter of Albert and Kate Fox Troast, was born Dec. 2, 1871, in Lancaster, Pa., she married Elmer E. Kendig in Lancaster in 1892, and they came to Emporia that same year. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Harold L. Kendig of Rt. 2, and Floyd T. Kendig, 114 West Eight Ave.; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Coman, 805 Mechanic St.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Charles Graeber, Caracas, Venezuela, Mrs. Marvin Brown, Greensburg, and two grandsons, Hal Kendig, who is serving with the U.S. Navy in North Africa, and Seymour Coman, of Chillicothe, Mo.; and five great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Emporia Women's City Club.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kendig are visiting their daughter and family in Venezuela.
