James Mauldin

James Mauldin, 70, of Bloomfield, passed away from this life on Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, in Oxford, Colo. He was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Hampton, Arkansas.

He went into the United States Navy on Dec. 2, 1955, as an engine man. After serving four years, he left to come to Bloomfield, where he spent the rest of his life driving trucks, raising a family and being a Papa to his grandkids.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nona Mauldin.

He is survived by his wife of 44 wonderful years, Irene Mauldin; daughters, Tammy Kiser of Greeley, Colo., Michelle Halstead and husband, Greg of Las Vegas, Nev.; and son, James Mauldin of Bloomfield. Also surviving are brothers, Joe Mauldin and wife Mary of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Dale Mauldin and wife Sue of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and sisters, Reba Lytle of Sherwood, Arkansas, Helen Strickland and husband, JD of North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the First United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, New Mexico officiated by Pastor Kathy Potter. He will be laid to rest in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, New Mexico. Military honors will be by VFW Post 2182.
