They were blessed with three children, Jennie B. Mead, born 1864, in Michigan; Laura May Mead, born 07 Feb 1870; William A. Mead, born 18 Jun 1870; Vesta A. Mead, born Jan 1872.
In 1891, after a number of years in Buffalo, Erie, New York. They moved to Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. Where he continued on in the lumber business.
