ISELIN — The funeral of Mrs. Rose Lake, 76, of 45 Claybourne Street, who died Tuesday in a hospital in Compton, Calif., was held Friday morning at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Compon. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Compton.
Born in Trinidad, British West Indies, Mrs. Lake had lived in Iselin (NJ) for more than 50 years. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Episcopal Church Perth Amboy.
Surviving are her husband, James P. Lake, Sr.; three daughters, Mrs. Hyacinth Dandridge, Compton, Calif.; Mrs. Melanie Soence and Mrs. Kathleen Dandridge, both of Iselin; two sons, Alvin Lake of Plainfield and James Lake, Jr., of Iselin; one sister, Virginia of the Dominican Republic; two brothers, Mano Romney and Edgar Romney of Anguilla; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
