KENNEDALE -- Betty Floyd Iles, 62, a loving mother, sister and friend, entered into eternal life Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at an Arlington hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church, 6765 Dick Price Road. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home.
Memorials: New Hope Baptist Church Youth Group.
Betty was born in Mount Pleasant on Feb. 13, 1942, the daughter of Odis Elmer and Metta Burks Floyd. She was a retired real estate rental manager. After retiring, Betty enjoyed working part time at Curves for Women in Arlington.
She was very devoted to her church and her New Hope Baptist Church family. Betty was a source of inspiration and encouragement to everyone around her. With her passing, Betty leaves an empty space in her family's lives, but a heart full of memories.
Survivors: Daughter, Angie Willis of Kennedale; sisters, Dell Means of Kennedale, Sue West of Mansfield and Pat Elmore and husband, Ken, of Kennedale; nephews, Billy Simpson and David Green and wife, Julie, all of Kennedale; nieces, Brenda Stuart and husband, Bruce, of Mansfield, Paula Pierce of Fort Worth and Judy Brown and husband, Danny, of Covington; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and countless friends.
