Eva Mae Hoffman at age 84 passed away April 8, 2012. She was born May 29, 1927 in Remus, Michigan the daughter of Jacob and Eva (Galer) Snider. She married Clarence G. Hoffman, December 12, 1948. She was currently of Holt, MI.

Eva retired from Holt Public Schools as a bus driver after 17 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her son, Chuck, Sister Genevieve Lehnert, and Brothers Orin Snider, Egbert Snider and Harold Haynes. She was also preceded by two grandchildren Nathan Ritter and Adriana Haskins and a special family friend Maxine Dutton.

Surviving are children, Bob (Marta) Hoffman of Somerset Lake, Sue (Larry) Haskins of Hillsdale, and Ken (Janice) Hoffman of Holt, daughter in-law Jean Hoffman of Mason, Sisters Olive Ivicic and Maxine Reed, 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father John A. Byers, will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar St., Lansing. Rite of Committal will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives at Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Donations in memory of Eva can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Society or Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
