James Wesley Armer, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2012. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Wesley was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Osage, Ark., to D.S. and Bessie Armer. He was a self-made man who lived by his own set of rules in this world, and was welcomed by God in the next. He loved his family, fishing and hunting. He retired from K. Kimberly in Fort Worth after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie Jane Armer; sons, James Dewitt Armer and William Harvey Armer; two granddaughters; and one grandson.
Survivors: Daughters, Bessie Bland, Carolyn Patterson, Mildred Thompson, Norma Peery and Brenda Foreman; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
