A Mass of Christain burial was held at St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church in Chester for MARY KATHERINE MAKARES, of Crofton, who died yesterday at University Hospital in Baltimore. She had been hospitalized since March 9 following a beating at her home. She was 55. Mrs. Makares was born in Baltimore.
She had worked as a clerk at the Crownsville Hospital Center.
Surviving are her mother, Katheryn E. Morgenweck of Stevensville; one daughter, Christine D. Makares, Winter Park, Fl.; two sons; two grandchildren; and one brother, John R. Morgenweck, Queenstown.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Easton, Arrangements by the Helfenbein-Hubbard Funeral Home in Chester.
