She was born April 4, 1918 in Thompson, Arkansas the daughter of Charlie Evans and Myrtle Mae Thornsberry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Long in 1986 and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville.
Survivors include son, Larry Long of Fayetteville; 2 daughters, Carolyn Voncannon of Farmington, Brenda Sczenski of Fayetteville; sister, Iva Cook of Thompson, AR; 7 grandchildren, Mario Shinaway, Donna Rubio, Jeremy Long, Christopher Graham, Shana Hardin, Jerome Long, Devin Long and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM, on Wednesday at Moore's Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at First United Pentecostal Church on Wedington Drive. Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery near Elkins under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
