Burned To Death!
Mrs. Wm. Miller Burned to Death near Creswell, last Tuesday
Our correspondent, "Nilhill," of Creswell, send us the following particulars of the burning to death of Mrs. Wm. Miller near that place last Tuesday:
Scarcely do we recover from the shock of the sudden departure of one of our friends, until the news arrives telling us of the fall of another. Near Creswell, on the 13th of March, Mrs. Wm. Miller, while leaning over the fire preparing food for the table, her dress caught fire, and before assistance could be had she was burned to death. The lady was alone in the house at the time. She leaves a husband and a large family of small children, on whom her death will fall with terrible weight. Our deepest sympathies are with them. A large concourse of people passed through Creswell today, taking her remains to be deposited in the silent "city of the dead."
