He was born June 18, 1926 in Kittanning to Robert and Pearl (Karns) Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was retired from J & L Steel, Pittsburgh.
A Navy veteran, he served on the USS Philadelphia during World War II.
He enjoyed playing golf and spending time on his computer.
Survivors include his wife, June (Barker) Simpson; one son, of Linesville; one daughter, of Kittanning RD2; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his mother of Ohio; four brothers, Donald Simpson of Okeechobee, Fla., William Simpson of Ocala, Fla..
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Jean King.
Friends of Robert C. Simpson, 75, of Kittanning RD2, who died March 3, 2002, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jack Peters, officiating.
Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Inc., East Franklin Township.
