Michael was born on October 11, 1967, the firstborn child and only son of James Larry Sizemore and Elizabeth Joy Duff Sizemore. He was the big brother to Dawn Annette and Christy Elizabeth Sizemore. He was also the first grandchild for Sam Adams Duff & Muriel Dean Jones Duff and Virgie Helena Baker Sizemore and the late James Raburn Sizemore. Michael was the first great-grandchild of Harvey Jones & Annie Elizabeth Cain Jones; he was a great-grandson of the late Calvin Duff and Nancy Elizabeth Murphy Duff.
From an early age, Michael loved to fish and hunt along with his dad and all his grandparents, uncles and cousins. He loved going to the country from Houston to enjoy the great outdoors and do the things he loved. He loved trying to outfish his grandpaws and uncles.
Michael played PeeWee baseball at an early age and continued playing until he was fourteen years old, always ending up on the All Star team at the end of each season. One of goals for the future was to be a professional baseball player.
In school he played basketball, football and ran track for which he received many medals. He was also in excellerated classes all during his school years. While he was in Junior High School he was inducted into the National Honor Society.
While volunteering in Vacation Bible school at his church during the summer of 1983, he was saved and turned his life over to Christ Jesus.
Tragically Michael was struck by lightning on June 5, 1984 at his grandparents farm in the Schwab City community located south of Livingston, Texas. He was with a group of other children and teens when a quick storm came up and lightning struck suddenly. CPR and emergency treatment was unable to help because of the damage to his heart by the electrical shock. The other children were all knocked out but not harmed.
His funeral was held on June 8, 1984 in Livingston and he was buried in the family cemetery at Magnolia Hill Cemetery in the Segno Community. The football and track coaches from his Houston high school brought a school bus load of his fellow players and friends to say their goodbyes as well as make a special presentation of his letterman jacket and a football signed by all his fellow players on the team.
He has left a deep void in all his family's lives as well as his extended family that can never be filled. God took one of the best home to Heaven where he was needed. We know we will see him again one day and know that he is our special Guardian Angel.
