She was born near Harrisville, West Virginia on February 6, 1920 a daughter of the late Clarence O. and Fannie Dodd Calhoun.
She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of a non-denominational church since 1946. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and taking care of others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett G. West on November 15, 2000; seven sisters; and four brothers.
Surviving are her second husband, Virgil Morris, whom she married on May 7, 2010; two daughters, Eileen (Roger) Benslay of Seabrook, Texas, and Deloris (Todd) Winder of Lower Salem, Ohio; two sons, Robert (Jackie) West of Lowell, Ohio, and Wayne (Maddie) West of Lower Salem, Ohio; one step-son, Tim Morris of West Yellowstone, Montana; one step-daughter, Suzanne (Bill) Snell of Tuscon, Arizona; one sister, Donna (Hershel) Scott of Baker, Oregon; two brothers, Drexel "Rex" (Reva) Calhoun and Silvan Calhoun both of Baker, Oregon; eleven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
