Calvin Lee Baldridge, son of Albert and Bessie (Micco) Baldridge was born December 4, 1924 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma
He departed this life to be with our Lord on April 6, 2012 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 2 days.
Calvin met Lydia McLemore when they were 18, shortly after this they were married and remained married for 61 years.
They did everything together and were very rarely ever seen apart. He served his country proudly in the United State States Army during the Korean Conflict.
One of his greatest joys in live was playing music he was especially fond of the guitar and fiddle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Sandy Lou Pettit, Lizzie Daugherty, Lucinda Malbrigo, and 2 brothers; Thomas Pettit and Willie Baldridge.
Calvin is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 61 years; Lydia Baldridge of the home in Tahlequah, OK,
sisters; Jackie Baldridge of Marble City, OK, Loleta Pettit of Hulbert, OK, brother; Donnie Ray of Muskogee, OK. A special niece and nephew; Judy Coiner and Nathan Shannon who cared for Lydia and Calvin,
a special friend; Jerry Henson, sister in law; Lillian Thirsty, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. John Blackwood and Bro. Jerry Henson officiating.
Interment followed at Echota Cemetery.
