Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at First Christian Church in Dighton with Rev. Howard Bever officiating.
Interment: Dighton Memorial Cemetery.

Edith F. Lang, age 100, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born February 5, 1912 at Utica, Kansas the daughter of William and Lucille North.

Edith was born and raised in the Utica area and graduated from Utica High School. Edith married Howard R. Lang on August 5, 1931 at Dighton. He died on November 29, 1999. Edith was a homemaker, but also helped her husband on the farm when necessary. After retirement she and her husband bought a motor home and traveled extensively throughout the United States. They also travelled to Europe. Edith and her husband celebrated 68 years of marriage. She was a member of First Christian Church in Dighton, and Tops Club.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Gene Lang of Wichita, Juanita Scharnhorst of Wichita, Gale McGee of Muskogee, OK; ten grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, an infant, David Lang and Victor Lang; three brothers, four sisters; and one great grandchild.
