James O. Cox, 57, of R.R. 3 died at Pekin Memorial Hospital at 3:40 p.m. Friday. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Logans Chapel, Jonesboro, Tenn. Visitation will be at the Kuecks Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
He was born at Jonesboro, Tenn., April 7, 1914, a son of R. C. and Maude Bacon Cox. He married Pauline Cline Sept 23, 1939, at Gates City, Neb.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, James Richard, R.R. 3; David Ray, R.R. 3; Eddie Lee, Pekin; three grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; five brothers, Abe Cox, Johnson City, Tenn.; Clarence P., Kingsport, Tenn.; Niles W., Rockford; Basil L., Peoria; John A., Morrison City, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Eulah May Chase, Kingsport, Tenn. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Harmony, Tenn. He last worked at Bird Farm Provision Co. in Pekin.

James Orville Cox, 58, died Friday in Pekin, Ill. A native of Washington County, son of the late R. C. and Maude Cox, he had moved to Illinois 21 years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pauline Cline Cox; sons, Richard, Eddy, and David Cox, all of Pekin; brothers, Abe of Johnson City, Clarence and John A., Kingsport; Nile, Rockford Ill. and Basil Cox, Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Eula Chase, Kingsport; and three grandchildren.
