A record of this Paul's infant baptism would have been kept at the family's church in Palo Alto County. This would cause some who ha been looking for his birthplace to think he was born in Palo Alto County. Instead, his 1880 US Census listed him in Kossuth County with his parents, the baby of a large family, at age 2 months (census done in June, his birth date noted as March.)
