Delores Jane Bumbaugh, 76, of Old Pen Mar Road, Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012, peacefully at her home.
Born April 15, 1935, in Washington County, Md.; she was the daughter of the lateSamuel A. and Irene E.C. (Schildt) Bachtell.
She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1953.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Welty's Church of The Brethren of Greensburg, Md.
She enjoyed bird watching, word puzzles, baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert F. Bumbaugh whom she married April 22, 1956, sons Steven L. Bumbaugh and wife Susan and Barry A. Bumbaugh and wife Michelle all of Waynesboro, Pa.; sister Doris Stevens and husband Terry of Smithsburg, Md.; grandchildren Erica Arendt, Christie Hartley and Cody Bumbaugh, great-grandchildren Sage Myles and Nia Henson, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn S. Bachtell.
A memorial service will be held Saturday April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home Smithsburg, Md., with Rev. Dr. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
