EDDYVILLE — Brian Lee Adams, 40, of Eddyville, died June 15, 2008, as a result of a car accident.

He was born Dec. 25, 1967, in Ottumwa to Edward and Catherine Ann Lehman Adams. He married Amie Marie Guiter on June 13, 1992, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ottumwa. A graduate of Eddyville High School, he attended Iowa State University, and served in the Army Reserves. He worked for 19 years for Alliant Energy.

He was a member of the Faith Community Church in Eddyville and was a volunteer for Eddyville Little League. He was a loving and devoted father, son and husband. His family was the world to him. He enjoyed playing ball and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Surviving are his wife, Amie; a daughter, Alexandria Lee Adams; two sons, Ryan Andrew Adams and Grant Christopher Adams, all at home; his parents, of Eddyville, and a sister, Heather (Tom) Brown, of Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lewis and Anna Lehman and Harold and Velma Adams.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Faith Community Church in Eddyville with the Rev. Richard Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Eddyville. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for his children's education.
