Funeral services for Mrs. Pete C. Horelica, age 67, were held from the Triska Chapel Thursday, June 9. The services were followed by requiem high mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Petronella officiated, assisted by Rev. J.J. Tydlacka and Rev. Aloise Nesvadba.
Mrs. Horelica, who was born in Ammannsville, Texas on May 1, 1890, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vacek. Moving to Fort Bend County when she was a young girl, Mrs. Horelica married Pete Horelica in 1923. They made their home at 1600 George Street, Rosenberg.
Suffering a heart attack, Mrs. Horelica died June 27. With her at the time were her sisters, Mrs. Olga Stavinoha and Mrs. Ella Novak.
Survivors are her husband, Mr. Pete Horelica; five brothers, Staches Vacek of Rosenberg, Joe B. Vacek of Needville, Vaclav Vacek of Fairchild, Jerry Vacek of Rosenberg, and Vojt Vacek of Rosenberg; and five sisters, Mrs. Olga Stavinoha of Rosenberg, Mrs. Millie Chernosek of Rosenberg, Mrs. Martha Zwahr of Rosenberg, Mrs. Ella Novak of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Mary Zwahr of Brown Community.
Pallbearers were Louis Vacek, Steve Chernosek, Wesley Stanley, Adolph Horelica, Emil Anders, and Robert Kuban. Interment was made in the Needville Catholic Cemetery.
