Died 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1995, at Medical Center of Baton Rouge. She was 77, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Purvis, Miss. She was a retired beautician and owner of Ruth's Beauty Shop for 38 years. Visiting was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home, 11 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. David Womack. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters anda son-in-law, Betty Jo and Tommy Baker and Becky Buckley Cowart, all of Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debbie Buckley, Zachary; two sisters, Rose Cox, Houston, and Ruby Lippencott, Hattiesburg, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, Marty Martin,Mike Martin, Matt Martin, John Baker, Bonnie Baker Valentine, Scott Cowart, Brandon Cowart, Barrett Buckley, Carly Buckley, Shepard Buckley and Rhonda Welborn; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Hoye G. Buckley; and four brothers. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
