Services for King H. Bloomer, 49, of 1917 Bethel St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Henninger Funeral Home. The Rev. Norris Smith will officiate, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Bloomer, a maintenance contractor, suffered an apparent heart attack Tuesday afternoon while hanging paper in a local residence. He died a short time after arrival at Jennie Stuart Hospital.

A native of Trigg County, he was born April 18, 1924, son of the late Sam and Carrie Froman Bloomer. Ho was a six-year Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was a survivor of the USS South Dakota and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Bloomer was also a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Woody Mitchell Bloomer; three stepchildren, Mrs. Dean F. Russell, Korea, Teddy Gray, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Donald Gray, Christian County; two brothers, Victor of Evansville, Ind., and Sam Bloomer, the city; four sisters. Mrs. Mary Outland and Mrs. Myrtle Owen, both of the county, Mrs. Mottle Whoberry, Evansville, and Mrs. Georgia Lee, Crofton; and several nieces and nephews.
