Mrs. Sarah Ann Fowerbaugh, 83, was found dead in bed Friday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Fowerbaugh, 1130 College avenue, where she had made her home for the last six years.

Death was due to heart trouble and old age, Dr. Russell Galbreath, county coroner, who investigated, said. She appeared in her usual health Thursday and died about 1 o'clock Friday morning.

Mrs. Fowerbaugh was born 28 July 1851, in Lancaster township to John and Barbara (Paul) Gance. Her first marriage was to Isaac Minniear on 15 June 1866. Four children were born to this union. The husband and a son, Henry, are dead.

A second marriage was to Samuel Fowerbaugh on 10 January 1884, who, with a son, William, is dead.

Surviving children are, Mrs. Mary Fowerbaugh, city; George Minniear, Huntington township, and Mrs. Emma Earhart, Wabash county. Seventeen grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a half-brother, George Gance, Harlin, Mich., also survive.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren for 38 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at the Pilgrim's Rest cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Carl Fowerbaugh, Dean Fowerbaugh, Vernon Fowerbaugh, Elzie Minniear, Earl Minniear, Kenneth Earhart, Harry Minniear, Paul Minniear.
