Mr. John Albert Benefield, age 92, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Saturday March 13, 2010.

Albert was born August 31, 1917 to the late Mack S. & Minnie Irene Griffin Benefield. Albert was also preceded in death my his wife of 75 years, Mrs. Lucille West Benefield on October 17, 2009, a daughter Cora Irene Benefield, Two Brothers Mach Spurgeon Benefield, and Raymond R. Benefield.

He was a long time member of Wimberly Hill Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for many years. He was one of the founding members of Benefield Construction Company of Cedartown, GA. He worked closely with a number of local churches, community, and civil groups. He and Benefeild Contruction also worked closely with the School Systems, City, County, and State Governments.

Mr. Benefield was born August 31, 1917 to the late Mack S. & Minnie Irene Benefield and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lucille West Benefield on October 17, 2009. Daughter Cora Irene Benefield, Two Brothers Mack Spurgeon Benefield and Raymond R. Benefield

He was a long time member of the Wimberly Hilll Baptist Church, and also served as a Deacon for many years. He was one of the founding members of Benefield Construction Company of Cedartown Ga. He worked closely with a number of the local church, community, and civic groups. He and Benefield Construction also worked closely with the School systems, City, County and State Governments.

Mr. Benefield is survived by his children and spouses, Noah and Shirley Benefield, William Benefield and Teresa Stewart, Buddy and Beverly Benefield, Carolyn and David Sullins and Joe and Annette Benefield, his grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Rhonda Benefield, Timothy Benefield, David and Mary Jane Benefield, Kim and Dennis Allen, Barry and Anita Benefield, Malissa and Eddie Hosmer, Tammy and Chris Nichols, Eddie and Jennifer Benefield, John and Traci Benefield, Shaunna and Shayne Garrison, Felicia and Genile Winslett, Mark and Pam Sullins, Kim Harris, Karen Murstig, Bryan and Rachel Harris. Thirty four great grandchildren, four great great granchildren, and a number of Nieces, Nephews and other Relatives also survive.

The funeral serice for Mr. John Albert Benefield will be conducted on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Rayford Parker and Rev. Bud Davis Officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens with Masonic rites conducted by the Caladonia Lodge 121 F&AM.
