Perry "Cotton" Gammons, 84, of Baileyton Road, Greeneville, passed away Monday evening at his home.
He retired from Hurd Lock Manufacturing.
Survivors include a son: Gene Babb; a sister: Irene Morrison; a special friend and caregiver: Dorothy Babb; a sister-in-law: Mable Gammon; several nieces, nephews, and many friends; and a special niece: Judy Alsup.
He was the son of the late Bill and Cordie Holland Gammon and was preceded in death by 11 brothers: Frank, Charles, Doss, Jessie, George, Allen, Omer, Oscar, Edgar, Elmer, Henry, and Lowell Gammon; and a sister: Julie Smith.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with interment in Doty's Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Gass and Rev. Troy Gammon will officiate.
The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Gene Smith, Harold Smith, Bruce Koch, Steve Alsup, Eugene Duncan, and Bill Gammon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Hawkins, Chris Koch, Tony Edward Stetser Sr., Tony Edward Stetser Jr., Willie Arrwood, and Kevin, Terry, Joseph, and Dwayne Casteel
