OBITUARY: William Henry Carr was born in Boston Massachutists October 23, 1861 and died April 30, 1947 at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 7 days. He came to Missouri about the age of 6 years with his parents Rev. Thomas E. Carr and a wife and one sister and settled on a farm on Benton Creek near Cook Station. In the year 1921 he and his family moved to Cook Station. On August 21, 1889 he was united in marriage to Annie E. Plank. To this union nine children were born Walter I. Carr of Steelville, Stella L. Lay of San Diego California, Clemma M Scobey of Los Angeles California, Carrie E. Cooksey of Sligo Missouri, Fitzhugh L. Carr of Overland Missouri. Alvah Homer Carr of Cook Station, Paul T. Carr of Cuba Missouri Josephine I. Whitecotton of Los Angeles California and Mildred C. Mayberry of Cook Station. His wife preceded him in death in 1933. On April 20, 1942 he was married to Josie B. Scott who still survives. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and 9 children.
