Funeral services for Bennie E. Roark, 85, of Monroe, will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Mickey Bounds officiating assisted by Richard Runnels and Rev. Gabe Krell. Interment will be at Shanks Cemetery, Rayville, LA.
Mr. Roark died Wednesday, April 04, 2012, at Richardson Medical Center. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Roark is preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Lillie Roark; sister, Eddie Lee Roark Hardwick; and two brothers, Jack Roark and William Roark.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha Ann Spencer Roark; daughter, Debbie Roark of Brandon, MS; son, Phil Roark and wife, Kelly Roark of Monroe; and four grandchildren, Terrell Kincaid, Tucker Kincaid, Jordan Roark, and Spencer Roark; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Spencer, Edwin Tudor, Don Green, Ronnie Nolan, Gary Roberts, and Brad Lawrence.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 Noon until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Viola White and to the staff of Rayville Nursing and Rehabilitation for their years of care, compassion and love shown to our husband and father.
