Bea attended St. Theresa Catholic School, Marion High School, and graduated from Spring Branch Senior High School(Class of 1960)!. She attended Sam Houston State University. Survivors include her mother, Angelina Finley; sister, Barbara Sikes; brother-in-law, Herschel Sikes; and her two very special nieces, Lindsay Sikes and Amy Sikes. She was preceded in death by her father, A.J. Sustala. Bea was formerly President of Memorial Property Management for 12 years and recently entered the residential real estate business. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Bea enjoyed memberships in many organizations including being a past Board Member of the Ashford Community Association. She was also an active member of the Ashford Women's Club for 25 years, having served as its President in 1999. She was past President and an active member of "Les Tres Gentilles" (LTG) and Houston Junior Women's Club where she enjoyed serving as a docent for Bayou Bend. She founded the AWC Bunko Group and was active in the Ashford Women's Gourmet Dinner Club. Bea's life was enriched by her involvement with DePelchin Faith Home as a foster parent. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, her enormous love of life and the beautiful friendship she gave to so many. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment followed in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dick Atkins, Bill Cockrell, Ken Fuqua, Larry Jones, Todd Jones, Ken McCasland, Carl Nordstrand, and Jim Wallace. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Bea's name to the American Cancer Society. Please specify Lung Cancer Research and Prevention.
