Lucio Abeyta, age 87, of Santa Rosa, NM died September 4, 2003 at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center following an illness. Lucio was born April 1, 1916 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Espedidon and Isabel Duran Abeyta. He married Arcelia Flores in December 1938. Lucio was a carpenter and worked building construction for many years. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the San Jose Society. Lucio is preceded in death by his parents, his son Chio Abeyta, his sister Juanita Abeyta, his brothers Pedro Abeyta, Abelino Abeyta, Eduardo Abeyta, Thomas Abeyta and Emilio Abeyta. Survivors include his wife Arcelia of the family home is Santa Rosa, is five daughters, Margie Abeyta, Frances Lopez, Josie Pacheco and husband Orlando, Helen Abeyta, Mary Rose Abeyta and a son, Herman Abeyta and wife Violet all of Santa Rosa a sister Josefa Madrid and husband Blas of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren and 14 Great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.
