He was born May 7, 1935, in Jackson County, a son of the late Harm and Alice Casto. He retired as a maintenance worker for the city of Ripley. He was a member of Vista Community Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Casto; a son, Kenneth Casto; and daughters, Sharon Farren and Amber Casto.
He is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Watkins and her husband, Richard, of Ripley and Mary Slater and her husband, Jeff, of Sissonville; sisters, Rosie Wolfe, Betty and Dolly Braden, all of Ripley; and brothers, Allen Casto of Ripley and Ray Casto of North Carolina. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Kenna.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
