Leota G. Weitknecht, 92, of Country Meadows, Bethlehem, died Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Foster R. Weitknecht.

She was a teacher in the Northampton, Coplay, Coopersburg and Southern Lehigh school districts for many years until retiring in 1956.

She was a 1919 graduate of the former West Chester Normal School, now West Chester University.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Mary Alice (Beil) Newhard.

She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Allentown.
