Mary Hickman
81, homemaker

Mary Evelyn Hickman of Tulare died of heart failure Monday in her home. She was 81.

She was born in St. Louis, Mo. and moved to Tulare in 1930. She married Jack Hickman in 1933, who preceded her in death in 1986. [1987] She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by six sons, Jack Hickman, Antioch, Michael Hickman, Costa Rica, Alan Hickman, Tulare, Patrick Hickman, Bakersfield, Thomas Hickman, Ridgecrest and Donnie Hickman, Ridgecrest; four daughters, Carole Kelton, Jean Chamberlain and Joan Reedy of Tulare, Cheryl Price, Sun Valley, Nev.; one brother, Charles Mudd, Fresno; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited and a Mass celebrated Wednesday at St. Aloysius, with the Rev. Richard Urizalqui officiating. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery.
