Frank A. Price Meets a Terrible Death
-----
It was with feelings of deep regret that intelligence of Frank A. Price’s tragic death in Chicago was received by his many Lake county relatives and friends last Monday afternoon.
Mr. Price was superintending the placing of joist on the fifth story of a building in course of erection for the McCormick Reaper Works, when he in some unaccountable manner fell from the fourth floor down a well or open shaft to the basement. The men working above and about him did not see him fall, but the supposition is he carelessly backed into the opening. Death was instantaneous. Deceased was a Lake county boy, having spent his boyhood days on the old Price estate south of Libertyville and later followed his occupation of architect, having designed many of the buildings at present in Libertyville. He was thirty-one years of age, of quiet, retiring disposition, beloved and respected by all.
A wife, three brothers – William, Melville and Fred and one sister, Mrs. C. F. Wright survive him. Funeral services were held at the home in Jefferson Park Wednesday, the remains being brought to Libertyville for interment Thursday.
